What have I been up to?

Sorry for the lack of blog updates lately.  It’s been a little crazy around the Turner household because among all the normal Holiday craziness, Justin and I have both been busy rehearsing for the Carolina Christmas Celebration, which is going on this coming weekend at our church.  I’m in the choir and we’re both ballroom dancing in one scene.  It has been so much fun! But it has made for a busy Christmas season, as we have had rehearsals several times a week.   

This past weekend, Justin, my sister, and her fiance and I had planned to go down to Kiawah with some friends for the Kiawah Half Marathon.  Justin and my sister had been training to run it, and Jon and I were going to cheer them on.  I ran the half marathon last year and I think one time was enough for me!  Well, as luck would have it, both he and my sister got sick last week and couldn’t imagine racing 13.1 miles in the 20 degree weather while fighting off a cold.

Also, I’ve made some progress in my new office.  I’ve selected paint colors, and made plans to go to Atlanta to purchase furniture.  I used to live in ATL, so I love any excuse to make the trip down there.  We’ve decided to go down December 31 (the day after my sister’s wedding) and spend New Years Eve in Buckhead, and get some shopping in while we’re at it.  I’m pumped because I’m already tasting the yummy food I’m sure we’ll eat.  The only problem is trying to decide which of my favorite restaurants to visit.
