Soundtrack of my Life (…and blog contest!)

One of the fun things about working for myself from home is that I’ve always got my music blaring.  I am a huge fan of playing the music LOUD and I’m pretty much always singing. I just love love love good music!!  I’m a little odd about music though. I am attracted first to the lyrics, and then the rhythm and tune.  If the lyrics speak to my soul, you can bet I’ll come to love the rest of it.

Here are the tunes on repeat right now. Consider it the soundtrack of this season of my life:

Hungry - Kathryn Scott

My Desire, Beyond Measure - Jeremy Camp

Cry in my Heart - Starfield

Divine Romance - Phil Whickam

Arithmetic, CS Lewis Song -Brooke Fraser (pretty much constants on the soundtrack of my life!)

Here’s my favorite - Brooke Fraser singing Arithmetic. Pretty much my life story set to music-

“I won’t find what I am looking for, if I only see by keeping score.

For I know now You are so much more than arithmetic.

cause If I add, if I subtract, if I give it all try to take some back,

I’ve forgotten the freedom that comes in the fact

that you are the SUM, and you are the One I want.”

May He be your SUM today.

What songs are on repeat for this season of your life?

AND………

it’s time for a new contest!!

Here’s how it works:  anyone who comments on this post will be entered to win a $20 STARBUCKS gift card!!  Y’all know me so well …several of you guessed the prize in my last post!   I’ll choose the winner on Wednesday!

Truly precious memories that will last forever as the family enjoys the photos page by page, remembering moment by moment of a special, blessed day that passes all too quickly. Well done! Blessings, Debby

February 23, 2009 - 10:08 am Jena Breedlove - Hi Brooke. Kelly's wedding pictures are beautiful! You did a wonderful job. I was Kelly's "shortie" bridesmaid (since you couldn't remember our names) :o) "This is Your Life" by Lifehouse is definitely the song for me right now. "This is your life, are you who you wanna be? This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be..." Thanks for the great song.

February 23, 2009 - 12:35 pm Debbie Hamilton - Hey Brooke! It's me - Debbie Hamilton. I still can't thank you enough for Tracy and Joey's wedding photos. They were awesome! A treasure to help keep the day forever in our minds. I really liked your find in Brooke Fraser. I,too, love new music and this was sent to me on e-mail and it is terrific! Beyond words...sends chills down my spine thinking of the history of the location and the meaning of the song, which is one of my all-time "oldies, but goodies". For years we have all heard many, many versions of 'Amazing Grace', but if you've never heard the group "EL DIVO" sing it, you're in for a very special treat. They are group of one American and three Italians who are trained for Opera. This recording was done at the 2,000 year old Roman Coliseum. Yes, this is the place where Christians were fed to the lions. I know you will enjoy this music . . .May God richly bless you! YouTube - II Divo - Amazing Grace

May 26, 2011 - 11:38 pm Babara Cerf - This site seems to recieve a great deal of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to give info on is the most important factor.
