Hi! Thanks for visiting! In this blog I'll show you my latest photography adventures, but also give you a glimpse of the person behind the camera.
About the photography- My style is pretty classic, with a bit of flair. Definitely not traditional, but timeless. I love capturing the emotion behind the memory. I incorporate elements of photojournalism, and also take inspiration from fashion photography. Scroll down and take a peek at my work, and watch some slideshows to see more. I take on a limited number of weddings each year, and am currently booking for 2010. Based in Columbia, SC, but available state, nation, and world-wide. I love to travel! :)
About the photographer- I'm a wedding photographer, a wife, daughter, sister, friend. I love authentic conversations about God and life....add Starbucks and I'm just giddy :) My husband and I met in a most unusual way, and we love to laugh together. I love to walk the streets of foreign countries, but also to snuggle under a blanket at home with a good book. I love to write but I'm not that good at it. I love the red shoes I'm wearing in the picture to the left. If you ever see me wearing them, you know I'm feeling cute that day. :) I could spend hours in a bookstore. I love music and when you can just feel a song in your soul. I'm a dreamer, and a bit idealistic...I believe that even one life can change the world. I pray every day that mine does. Most of all I love my Jesus, my Redeemer, and the deep meaning and purpose He has brought to my life!
Enjoy!

On Saturday I had such a blast photographing Brittany & Cole’s wedding! The minute I met Brittany and her mom at Starbucks back in July, I knew that we would really get along and work well together. It’s funny - I met with Brittany for the first time on the morning that my friend Amanda delivered Naomi (and I did birth photography). I had driven straight from the hospital to Starbucks for our meeting, so I was a little frazzled, hadn’t slept much the night before, and definitely hadn’t had time for a shower!
Although I wasn’t 100% for the meeting, I am so glad they selected me for their wedding photograper because it was so much fun getting to know them throughout the process. Brittany & Cole’s ceremony was at Spring Valley Baptist in Northeast Columbia and the reception was at the Mitchell House in Lexington. I love photographing both places, but especially SVBC because that is where I got married almost 5 years ago

Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Earlier this month, I photographed precious Naomi - my sweet Goddaughter. I cannot believe she is 6 months old! We tried to do a few outside but it was one of the coldest days this season, so we stayed mostly inside, capturing what life looks like these days. I love this little girl-she melts my heart

My sister is having a baby!!! Little girl Reagan will arrive sometime in the next month and we cannot WAIT to meet her! Justin and I went up to Greenville to spend New Years Eve with my sister and her husband, and I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures to document this special time in their lives. I photographed them in and around their Greenville home. Here are a few of my favorites!

And I just LOVE her nursery, so I had to include a couple of detail shots. I love the beachy look- Who said blue was only for boys?
