I know my posting has been sporadic recently. I’ve been staying busy with album design, meeting with new 2008 clients, bridal portriats, etc. Oh yeah, and enjoying this time of year for photographers which could be classified as the ’slow season’. I guess two weddings this month would classify as a slow month, in comparison with the 4 that I sometimes do in the Spring and early Summer!
This past weekend I had no wedding, so my friend Renee and I decided to plan a spontaneous trip to go visit our friend Heather who lives in NYC. A ton of emails, phone calls, and a $134 round trip ticket later it was done! We still laugh at how quickly we throw trips together. But all fun things come to an end….right now I’m in the "lets get back to real world" mode, sitting in the La Guardia airport waiting for my flight, which they just told us was delayed.
I’m starting to feel like a real New Yorker. My friend lives in the East Village, and this trip we didn’t even go above 34th where all the touristy stuff is. We just meandered around SoHo, Chelsea and the Village, which was a nice change of pace from the crazy crowds. This was my 5th trip in 2 years so I’m getting pretty familiar! I love it, but don’t think I want to live there anymore. Up until about a year ago I would have withdrawl every time I got home from visiting and would try to convince Justin that we NEEDED to move up there! I’m over that now though, so no worries for all my southern brides
Here are a few quick pics -
Renee & me in front of an awesome sushi place we ate at Saturday night. We did this awesome "Art of Sushi Tour" where we learn the history and everything you’ve ever wanted to know about sushi. Check it our here!
Heather and me before brunch at Garage. yummy!
One last one at the Chelsea Market of the three little piggies. We decided that was an appropriate name for us that is because when we travel all we do is eat! We just have to take advantage though- Columbia food just doesn’t compare! We did break up the eating with some shopping though
