This past Friday and Saturday I spent in Savannah with about 10 other photographers from the Southeast, trying our hand at a ‘trash the dress’ bridal session. When I tell people about this, at first they look at me weird. "Why would anyone want to trash their wedding dress, those things are expensive!" Well, exactly for that reason. Who wants to spend all that money on a gorgeous wedding dress, to wear it once and then retire it forever in the back of your closet. Why not take the opportunity to take some really fun and edgy photographs with your gorgeous wedding dress?
These sessions usually take place after the wedding, so if the dress gets a little dirty (or totally trashed) it’s ok! The session can be as extreme as you wish. We started out pretty tame in the woods on Friday, getting our models to lie down on logs, in the grass, and then made our way almost into the swamp. Saturday was a little ‘trashier’ and our model got completely in the ocean. We got some really good stuff!
I’m nowhere near finished editing my images from the sessions, but check back in the next few days for some of my favorites from our fun sessions!
For now, here’s a sneak peek - one of my more tame ones at Wormslow Plantation:
Make sure you come back for more of my favorites!
