Meet Elisabeth- she is my sister’s sister-in-law, and we got the opportunity to know each other when her brother married my sister. One of those gals you’d love to hate because she’s so stinkin beautiful, but such a sweetheart that you can’t help but love her!
Meet Shawn - the handsome fellow that swept Elisabeth off of her feet! These two got married earlier this month in Santa Monica at Shutters on the Beach. I had the amazing opportunity of photographing this amazing wedding! The ceremony was right at sunset overlooking the Pacific…ahhh-could NOT have gotten any more beautiful! We had such a blast! Thank you so much Fisher family, for allowing me to be a part of this gorgeous event!

What a whirlwind! The last week has looked like this for me: last week Thurs and Friday - shooting beach portraits in Pawley’s Island; Saturday Kristy & Robert’s Charleston wedding, Sunday Sara’s bridals in Charleston, then back to Pawley’s on Monday & Tuesday for more beach portraits, back home Wednesday, and yesterday to Augusta for Kristin & Nick’s engagement session. I’m finally back home in time to do laundry, and pack my bags again for our trip to Santa Monica and San Diego. Justin and I will be leaving Monday and returning Saturday. A little work, a little play! I will be photographing Elisabeth & Shawn’s wedding at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica on Friday. FUN! Otherwise we will be exploring San Diego and LA.
At times like these it is so easy to get overwhelmed, but if I take a step back I realize just how incredibly blessed I am… to get to travel not only the Southeast to chase my passion, but now my work is taking me to the west coast! What an amazing opportunity! It was right at two years ago that I was about to “cut the cord” on my corporate job to go full time in photography. I remember clearly the doubt, the fear, of leaving the security of working for a large corporation to live out my dream. I’m SO thankful at times like these of the Lord’s provision in my business… not only bring me more business than I need, but also to sustain me at times when I wonder how on earth I’m going to get all the work done! Glory to God!
Needless to say, I’ve got tons of pictures to post here on the blog! Here is just a little sneak peek from Kristy & Robert’s wedding to tide you over till I can finish the slideshow (hopefully today!).

It meant so much to me to have the opportunity to photograph Karen and Justin’s wedding on Saturday. I have known Karen and her family for YEARS- we go way back! The day was filled with so many sweet moments and laughter. I love it when families have fun together! It is so obvious that Justin just adores Karen! SO sweet!! The children in the wedding (Karen’s niece and nephews) were simply adorable and SO well behaved! Another beautiful wedding! God bless you, Karen and Justin! Here’s to many years of joyful marriage!

Elizabeth Ann and David, as well as their friends and family, just overflow with warmth and kindness. Their wedding on Saturday was SO much fun! Both Elizabeth Ann and David went to Presbyterian College, and most of the bridal party too, so there were lots of fun “PC” touches. We even took a few minutes on the way to the reception to get some pictures on campus. It was such a blast getting to know all of Elizabeth Ann’s sweet bridesmaids..I feel like I’ve got a whole new group of friends! Here are a few from their wedding day.

*note* there was a glitch in the slideshow toward the end, causing it to freeze up - but I’ve fixed it now

Kathryn & Ben’s wedding in Charleston this past weekend was AMAZING! We had such a good time and were blessed with beautiful (a little hot) weather! This post is going to be short on words because I’m running out the door for a maternity session…but I know you just want to see the pictures anyway!
This couple is fabulous! Here’s to many many years of blessing, Kathryn and Ben!

If I had to choose one word to describe Jeannie & Cory’s relationship, it would be playful. They both have such fun personalities which translated to their wedding day! I photographed their wedding Saturday at Ashland Methodist, and reception at the State Museum. Not only do they have a blast together, but you can tell they are so in love. Cory reminds me exactly of a red-headed Jack Black. I think you’ll see why in these pictures
The most hilarious part of the day was when Jeannie & Cory kneeled to pray at the end of the ceremony. All of the guests erupted in laughter when they saw what was taped to the bottom of Cory’s shoes : ”Save Me”. HA!!

Last April I photographed Brittany & Caleb’s wedding in Charleston. Now 14 months later, I had the amazing blessing of working with the Kierspe family again to photograph Kristin & Kenneth’s wedding in Moncks Corner. I just loved working with both the Kierspe and Cordray families! There were so many sweet touches that they incorporated throughout the day: both sets of parents gave the couple away, the cowboy boots that many of the guys and Kristin wore, surprise appearance at the reception by the Clemson Tiger and their first doggie child, Sugar, just to name a few! There were several downpours throughout the day, but we were all covered with the big tent, so the party kept going!
Here are a few from the day!

Another amazing wedding! Marclee & Andrew were married Saturday in North Augusta at Grace United Methodist (my 5th wedding at this church, I believe!). I always love photographing North Augusta families because they are just so welcoming, and by the end of the event I feel like family! Marclee & Andrew’s families were no exception! The reception was at one of the COOLEST reception venues I’ve ever photographed - Sacred Heart Cultural Center in Augusta. Sacred Heart was formerly a Catholic Church, which has not been turned into a fabulous place for events.
There was so much love and happiness! The best part of the night was at the end when Marclee’s mom gave me a big hug and with tears in her eyes said that the whole night was even more than she expected. What more can you ask for! I love it!

By the way, a frequently asked question is how do I decide which song to use for a couple’s slideshow. I almost always use their first dance song. Just so happens I had two couples in a row use “Lady Soul” :) I love that song!
Here are a few from the amazing evening!
