My sister is having a baby!!! Little girl Reagan will arrive sometime in the next month and we cannot WAIT to meet her! Justin and I went up to Greenville to spend New Years Eve with my sister and her husband, and I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures to document this special time in their lives. I photographed them in and around their Greenville home. Here are a few of my favorites!

And I just LOVE her nursery, so I had to include a couple of detail shots. I love the beachy look- Who said blue was only for boys?

Our sweet friends the Purvis’s! Could there be a cuter family? I love these four! And by four I’m including little Eli - expected due date mid November! Can’t wait to meet him!! We had Heather’s baby shower this past Saturday and it was SO much fun!!

Last week I made the quick trip out to Lugoff to photograph the Lamb family! They are expecting another little boy very soon! It was so nice to meet them and photograph them during this sweet time!

For all of y’all blog readers who have been with me a while, you may remember Nina and Jason. I photographed their wedding way back in October of 2007. Now they are expecting a little boy in October! How sweet!! I love reconnecting with previous clients through the different stages of life. We had fun catching up and taking some maternity shots to document this season of anticipation. Can’t wait to meet the little one in a couple months! Here are just a few:

{I’m in Hilton Head on vacation this week, but I’ve got THREE more blog posts coming (Jeannie & Cory’s wedding, Edisto family beach portraits, and Bailey’s one year portraits) They will all be released at some point next week, thanks to future dated blog posting}
Y’all I am blessed with the absolute BEST friends in the entire world. I need to do a post dedicated to them one day because they are simply amazing. Amanda is one of those very best friends. We say were were “set up” to be friends by our mutual friend, Maria about four and a half years ago. We’ve practically been inseparable since! Many of y’all know her because she is one of my assistants for weddings too. I am so excited because she and her husband Jimmy are expecting their first baby in July! Of course we wanted to document this special time in the life of their family.

and below is my absolute favorite from the session. At first this one didn’t “jump out” to me, but after going through them a second time, it really struck me. I really could cry just looking at this picture because Amanda looks so beautiful and at peace. In about a month she’ll be sitting in that same chair, rocking sweet baby Naomi. I think about all that will occur in that exact chair. The shaping of Naomi’s life will begin right there, in Amanda’s arms. Naomi will be fed there, I’m sure, and also fed emotionally as she bonds with her Mama; and she’ll be fed spiritually as Amanda shares with her about Jesus and His love. Isn’t life just beautiful?

ok I’m crying now, so I’ll wrap this post up
You can be sure that you’ll be seeing a whole lot of baby Naomi once she’s here!
Several friends of mine are pregnant and due in June and they’re all having boys!! These were my first two maternity sessions ever- these gals were my guinea pigs :)
The first session was with Heather and Brian. I’ve known these two since high school! Heather is due in early June.

The second couple is Rachel and Wes. Rachel and I have several connections through different people and we have so much in common! She quit her corporate job around the time I quit mine (both of us to further our own business)…so we held each others hand through that whole process!
