Wednesday I met Amanda and Jimmy downtown for their engagement portraits. It was BLAZING hot outside - definitely in the upper 90's. They were troopers though! We started out at the Gervais St bridge (popular spot lately!). Amanda and Jimmy have been dating for 7 years, since they were 15. That is so cool. I'm sure they'll be very ready to get married by November, when i'll be shooting their wedding as well. Enjoy the sneak peek!
Today is a no-wedding Saturday for me! I've had such an amazing day so far….slept in, long workout, some reading, we're going to Bonefish (my fave) for dinner and then to the hospital to see Katie and baby Abel. I am so excited about Bonefish. I am one of those weird people that LOVES a good salad and their Florida Cobb Salad is to die for! So what am I doing on the computer right now on my day off? Well my husband is downstairs right now, totally sacked out from an 80+ mile bike ride this morning (crazy, I know)- so I snuck upstairs to upload the images from Beth and Trevor's engagement session last night. I had so much fun with these two at Wofford where they went to school. I couldn't help but post one quick one, but just one - you're going to have to wait for a few more :)
Happy Friday!!
Last week I photographed Kelly & Derek’s engagement session. These two could not be ANY cuter!! I was tempted through the whole session to grab Kelly’s sweater and run with it. Then she told me she got it at JCrew and i decided it would just be a better idea to just go and buy one myself instead of stealing hers
ha!
They were also both so natural in front of the camera, even in the candids where I have to get the couple to ‘just cuddle and be cute together’ and I snap away
We started out at the Gervais St bridge and ended up in the Vista. I’m so pumped for their wedding in November!! Enjoy the sneak peek:
Last week I photographed Jen & Russ’ engagement portraits at the Bilmore Estate in Asheville. That is where Russ proposed…how romantic!!
Here are a few from the session!
(due to property restrictions, we couldn’t put any with the house in the background on my site).
Russ proposed at that gazebo. There is an amazing view of the house behind me!

Sunday afternoon I had my first ever double bridal/engagement session. Julianne & Jon are getting married in May, so we’re on a shorter time frame than usual so we decided to knock both sessions out at the same time. It worked out pretty well! We shot the bridal portraits in Mt. Pleasant and then headed over to Sullivan’s Island for the engagements.
It was fun hanging out with Julianne, her mom, and cousin for half the day. Also they got helped get Vivian out of an almost disaster. Vivian is my beloved Volvo that has over 110k miles on it that has never had any issues…so I didn’t want to break the chain of good luck. Somehow (who knows) I got it stuck at the bridal portrait location, but thanks to some manpower we were able to get her out without any troubles..thank the Lord!
Since I can’t blog about the bridal portraits (which are gorgeous!) I’ll post a few from the engagement session. I’m excited about their wedding in May!
Yesterday I rode down to Pawley’s Island with Jessica and Hampton to take their engagement portraits. These two cuties have the sweetest love story! They met while spending the summer in Pawley’s Island and had a summer romance that turned into so much more. It was so fun getting to know them on the drive down and back. I am so pumped for their wedding in August. Of course they are getting married in Pawley’s too! Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
We started out on this cool road with gorgeous trees.
Next we went to the beach of course!

This beach is where Hampton proposed (awwww!)
Sunday afternoon I met Leslie and Patrick in Charleston for their engagement portraits. After spending a short while near the Battery, we hopped in the car and went to Folly Beach. It was SUCH a nice day! We were greeted by the most beautiful sky when we got to Folly. Here are just a few from our session-
Sunday I was down in Atlanta to photograph Carlee & Parker’s engagement portraits (well, to go Ikea, shopping, good eating too! I love ATL!) I’ve know Carlee for a really long time. In high school although we’re a couple years apart in age, we were in “Viking Singers” together and we were roomates when we went down to Disney world with the group to sing. I just remembered that as I was editing these pictures! LOL! Now she lives down in Atlanta and has an adorable fiance, Parker. These two are just as cute as can be and have such a playful relationship (which makes it easy to photograph!). These two were also such troopers…it was 38 degrees and VERY windy on Sunday!
They met at Park Tavern (at Piedmont Park), so the park was a perfect location.
Check out those adorable shoes!!
See, I told you they were playful! I love it!
