Blessings.

Blessings come in all shapes and sizes.  Today my blessing came in the form of an email.

Here’s some background - over the past week or so, I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed with how busy my life has gotten.  I so much love everything I’m doing right now, I’m just not used to not having any time to myself, or getting so little sleep.

As most of you faithful blog readers know, I work as a financial analyst full time (my analytical side) and do photography nights/weekends (my creative side).  One of my New Years Resolutions was to make my quiet time with God more consistent, and the ONLY way for me to do this is to do it in the mornings.  For years I’ve tried to do it after work, and somehow it never happens! Plus I’ve found that quiet time and prayer in the morning just gets my day off on the right note.   I have to be at work by 7am, so with the 30 minute commute, I’ve been getting up at 4:45am to get everything in.  So along with my ever growing to-do list, it seems I’m just exhausted a lot of the time!

This gets me back to the email from Michelle. Michelle is one of my November brides, and she said:

"I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for your blog.  I am totally addicted!
After viewing Lauren’s and Keith’s slideshow I am even more convinced that you will be perfect for our wedding; we are so blessed to be working with you."

It’s so awesome that God knows just what we need.  I really needed that email today to remind me of why I love this so much.  It is so worth being busy and tired sometimes.  Thanks Michelle, and to the rest of my clients, family, and friends.  Y’all really don’t know sometimes how much your words lift me up!

February 12, 2007 - 8:31 pm Scarlett - What an awesome blessing! Don't you love when God sends just the right encouragement at just the right time? Also, LOVED that sneak peak shot you posted of Dacy! Can't wait to see more! It was awesome to meet you this weekend! I wish we could have had more time to hang out. We'll have to start second shooting for each other to give us an excuse to see each other more! ;-) Go Brooke!

February 14, 2007 - 7:35 am Sara Gabrielli - Hey Brooke, I'm in the IMBA program with your sister and we met briefly when you were doing Lauren's bridal portraits at McKissick Museum. I am in France for the program and couldn't be at the wedding but your pictures are amazing! I love your blog and hopefully one day I'll have need of your services. Thanks and I can't wait to see what you do next! Sara
