our vacation

Last month, Justin and I made the trip to Santa Monica so I could photograph Elisabeth and Shawn’s wedding, but we managed to fit in a mini vacation too!  Here are a few from our adventures

at breakfast at our hotel the first morning - I got a little camera happy :)

a FABULOUS discovery - in California they have these self serve yogurt places…about 20 flavors you can add your own toppings-heaven in a cup!

quite possibly the best Pad Thai I’ve EVER tasted (and I’ve tasted a lot!)- at The Palms in LA  (thanks Liz H. for the suggestion!)

not only did they have awesome Pad Thai - but quirky Asian Elvis impersonators to entertain.  so random but so funny!

I took a trapeze class on the Santa Monica pier!  I absolutely LOVED every second of it.  Way more challenging than I thought - I was sore for days- but it was SO AWESOME!! I guess if photography doesn’t work out, I could always join the circus! :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Don’t we all have so much to be thankful for?! Many Blessings!

The Bollman Family

I met Kelly about 9 months ago through a mutual friend, and she has been such an amazing inspiration and friend to me ever since!  I look up to her so much as a woman after God’s heart. Is it possible to look up to someone who is younger that you? Well I guess it is! :)  When she emailed to see if I could snap some pictures of her with her two sweet children, I was more than thrilled!! These children are SO precious and so well behaved. We had such a great time catching up!!

Katie & Jesse: Engagements

I just adore my 2010 couples! One of these couples is Katie & Jesse.  We had such a fun time at their engagement session at Adam’s Pond in Columbia.  They love to laugh together, which made them very easy to photograph.   Can’t wait till their wedding next March! :)

Jack: 6 months!

I’ve been keeping busy with all of my “Babies First Year” families!  Here is the Coleman family.  Sweet Jack is six months old!   A couple of weeks ago I drove down to Augusta to capture Jack at this precious age!

Check out Jack’s newborn session here in case you missed it!

Email Issues

My email server has had technical difficulties over the past couple of days.  If you sent me an email and I did not respond back, please resend the email to both:

brooke (at) brooketurnerphotography    &     brooketurnerphotography (at) gmail.com

It appears to be up and running now, I’m just not sure if there are any emails floating around in never-neverland that I didn’t ever receive.

Thanks! :)

The Sanders Family: Will is 9 months!

It is crazy how much Will grows in just 3 months!  Carissa and Jason chose to do 5 sessions for Will’s “Baby’s First Year” package, and I’m so glad they did, because he seriously changes so much in just 3 months!  We decided to shoot at the Gervais St Bridge, and then went to EdVenture to do some fun shots with Will playing.  I had never been there before, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised at the diversity of good photo spots for little ones.

Here are a few from the session,

I’ve done it again!

Yes, I know…I’ve done it again.  My blogging recently has been in spurts. I’ve just been nose-to-the-grindstone the last couple of weeks, trying to pump out proofing sessions and albums. Many times each week I face the decision..hmm-continue editing sessions or blog something fun?  Editing has beaten out blogging over the past week or two, so I wouldn’t have to make my dear clients wait one more minute for their proofs .I hope you forgive me and keep checking back, even when I’m less than faithful! ;)

I’m almost caught up, so now I feel liberated to make some blog entries without falling behind again!

Here are some to look forward to:

still need to post some pictures from our California trip

Sanders Family

Gray Family

Coleman Family

Katie & Jesse Engagement

All these, coming soon!
