Last week I went over my friend Heather’s house to photograph Bailey. He just turned one! It’s crazy to see how much he’s grown since our last session in December. It was SO hot on the day of our session that we decided to include some pool time at the end too!
I just love this family to pieces! I especially enjoy my frequent lunch dates with Bailey and Heather to Chickfila and Rita’s
Heather and Brian are expecting another little boy in November! Brothers-how special!!

A super sweet family I photographed at Edisto earlier a couple weeks ago. What a fun crowd!
I have had several people inquire about beach sessions. I’m considering doing a week of beach sessions in September. Please comment here or email me if you are interested so I can start to make plans!

If I had to choose one word to describe Jeannie & Cory’s relationship, it would be playful. They both have such fun personalities which translated to their wedding day! I photographed their wedding Saturday at Ashland Methodist, and reception at the State Museum. Not only do they have a blast together, but you can tell they are so in love. Cory reminds me exactly of a red-headed Jack Black. I think you’ll see why in these pictures
The most hilarious part of the day was when Jeannie & Cory kneeled to pray at the end of the ceremony. All of the guests erupted in laughter when they saw what was taped to the bottom of Cory’s shoes : ”Save Me”. HA!!

{I’m in Hilton Head on vacation this week, but I’ve got THREE more blog posts coming (Jeannie & Cory’s wedding, Edisto family beach portraits, and Bailey’s one year portraits) They will all be released at some point next week, thanks to future dated blog posting}
Y’all I am blessed with the absolute BEST friends in the entire world. I need to do a post dedicated to them one day because they are simply amazing. Amanda is one of those very best friends. We say were were “set up” to be friends by our mutual friend, Maria about four and a half years ago. We’ve practically been inseparable since! Many of y’all know her because she is one of my assistants for weddings too. I am so excited because she and her husband Jimmy are expecting their first baby in July! Of course we wanted to document this special time in the life of their family.

and below is my absolute favorite from the session. At first this one didn’t “jump out” to me, but after going through them a second time, it really struck me. I really could cry just looking at this picture because Amanda looks so beautiful and at peace. In about a month she’ll be sitting in that same chair, rocking sweet baby Naomi. I think about all that will occur in that exact chair. The shaping of Naomi’s life will begin right there, in Amanda’s arms. Naomi will be fed there, I’m sure, and also fed emotionally as she bonds with her Mama; and she’ll be fed spiritually as Amanda shares with her about Jesus and His love. Isn’t life just beautiful?

ok I’m crying now, so I’ll wrap this post up
You can be sure that you’ll be seeing a whole lot of baby Naomi once she’s here!
It’s time for VACATION!!
What will I be doing next week in Hilton Head? One this is for sure - not working one bit!

Last April I photographed Brittany & Caleb’s wedding in Charleston. Now 14 months later, I had the amazing blessing of working with the Kierspe family again to photograph Kristin & Kenneth’s wedding in Moncks Corner. I just loved working with both the Kierspe and Cordray families! There were so many sweet touches that they incorporated throughout the day: both sets of parents gave the couple away, the cowboy boots that many of the guys and Kristin wore, surprise appearance at the reception by the Clemson Tiger and their first doggie child, Sugar, just to name a few! There were several downpours throughout the day, but we were all covered with the big tent, so the party kept going!
Here are a few from the day!

I photographed precious Caroline and her family last week. She was very sleepy but we woke her up for a few :) She’s four weeks old in these pictures!

Last week I shot a super-fun “Day in the Life” session in Lexington. We fit a lot into our 2.5 hour session - reading in the bedroom, eating watermelon on the porch, swimming in the community pool, bath time, and bed time. What a sweet family!

This week I’ll be catching the blog up with all of the sessions I shot last week, including Kristin & Kenneth’s wedding yesterday. For all of you waiting on a blog post - it’s coming soon!
This week I’ll be shooting a bridal session, a family session, and Jeannie & Cory’s wedding Saturday. THEN I’m off to Hilton Head for a week of vacation with my family! More to come very shortly!
Last week I photographed little Parker right here in my neighborhood, Lake Carolina. It was his 1st birthday!
