The Church Family

Last week I photographed Rachel, Wes, and little Caleb.  He is such a good crawler!  Seems like just yesterday I photographed Rachel’s maternity session, and now Caleb is over 9 months old! Here are a few-

The Brewer Family

Earlier this week I photographed our good friends, the Brewers!  Jamie and Jennifer moved here from Atlanta to help Jay and Lara Beth Hardwick start our new church, Awaken Church.  From the minute I met Jennifer I just knew we’d be fast friends. And to top it all off, they moved just a few houses down the street from us in Harborside.  It’s so fun to be able to just run up to their house! Their two little girls, Bella and Emery, have stolen my heart too and seriously I love them dearly.  I can’t wait to meet little man Brewer to make his grand arrival in June!  On a related note, if any of you blog readers would like to come visit Awaken Church on Sunday morning, we meet at 10:30am at Polo Road Elementary in Northeast Columbia. We believe church is something to belong to, not just attend, and we’d love to have you come join our  Awaken family :)

coming up next:  Rachel, Wes and Caleb Church - another sweet family session!

Are you a 2010 bride?

Just a friendly reminder - book early!  For peak season (March - June) I typically book out about a year in advance, and take a limited number of wedding commissions.  Shoot me an email (brooke@brooketurnerphotography.com) if you’d like to schedule a consultation to see my albums and other products.  I’d love to meet with you and hear all about your wedding plans!

Paula & Joe: March 21, 2009

What a FUN wedding! Paula and Joe had a blast!!  Paula is the perfect example of my favorite thing about being a photographer.  Taking pictures? Yep that’s fun. But it is even better when one of my clients becomes a friend! I am crazy about the relationship aspect of my business.  From the first time I met Paula when she and Joe sat on my couch interviewing me for a wedding photographer, I just knew if given the opportunity this would be one fun girl to get to know! And lucky for me, she booked me! YAY!  I have so enjoyed our  friendship!  And Joe cracks me up too-he and my husband have such similar personalities.   I know there is tons of love and laughter ahead for this precious couple! :)

Kristy & Robert

Last Thursday I met Kristy and Robert in Folly Beach to shoot their engagement portraits.  Kristy is my cousin! I think the last time we saw each other was at my wedding (almost 4 years ago), so it was so great to have some time to catch up on life.   I am so excited to be shooting their Charleston wedding in October!  Can’t wait! :)  Here are a few from last week-

Karen & Justin: Engagements

Last week I photographed Karen & Justin’s engagement session.  Karen and I were friends in youth group growing up, and it was so great to reconnect with her and meet her honey!  We shot over in Lexington around the Old Mill.  Here are just a few!

Cycling

I’m so proud of my husband! Justin absolutely loves cycling and he’s worked so incredibly hard over the past couple of years to get back into it.  A local racing team asked him to be a member this year and he was absolutely thrilled and honored.   He travels all over, even to other states to race on weekends.  It  works out well because often I’m working weekends anyway.  This past weekend there was a race in Blythewood of all places - practically our backyard!  It was so nice because I actually got to go and root him on, although it was 40 degrees and rainy.   Here is a quick shot I took on one of the laps  - Justin up front and 3 other Palmetto Velo teammates with him.  Man they were working hard! They didn’t win, but at least for this lap they did :)  I think they look so cute in their matching cycling jerseys!

Ashley & Josh: March 7, 2009

Saturday had to be one of the most gorgeous days to shoot a wedding!  Amanda and I headed up to Laurens in the beautiful weather on Saturday to shoot Ashley and Josh’s wedding.  We had such a blast with this couple, their family, and friends!

Here are a few from the day.

And the slideshow!
