What a beautiful wedding!!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Leslie & Tripp's wedding in Lexington. The Ceremony was at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the reception at the Country Club of Lexington. It was such a fun day with tons of laughter, smiles, and fun. Since I'm leaving for Hilton Head later today, I wanted to make sure to get a few sneak peek images on the blog so that Leslie & Tripp could see them before leaving for Costa Rica tomorrow! Their slideshow will be posted next Sunday or Monday.
We started out at Austral Salon in Forest Acres. Here's Leslie checking out her hair:
Then a quick stop to the parents house for some finishing touches..we made time for a shot with Winston. Didn't want him feeling left out….
Then on to the church where I started with portraits of the guys.
Leslie getting buttoned:
I love this shot of Leslie seeing her grandmother, Lolo, for the first time after getting ready.
So pretty!
Some fun bridesmaid pictures:
Down the aisle:
The happy couple:
Wow, a couple of those groomsmen got some air!
After pictures, we all loaded up on the party bus and headed to the Country Club of Lexington!! We got some really cute pics in there but you'll have to wait for the slideshow.
The first dance:
A touching moment after the toast. Leslie's dad looks so happy!
All the Zeta ladies serenading Leslie:
The dance floor was pretty much full all night:
Rose petal exit!
The newlyweds left in this cool antique car.
Leslie & Tripp, y'all have fun in Costa Rica!!
This week I will be in Hilton Head for a week of sun, relaxing, lots of book reading, good food, and good family quality time. I'm so excited because this is the first vacation my whole family has taken together since my sister and I got married. Oh yeah, and we got my dad a really cool fathers day gift that we'll all have fun with. A little hint - my dad ROCKS!! (can anyone guess what it is?)
I'll have very limited access to email and voicemail this week. I'll be back to work on Monday the 23rd, rejuvinated and hopefully with a little tan!
Here are a few from a sweet family session I did about a month ago…
Wednesday I photographed Jo Ashley and Ryght's engagement session in Edgefield. Despite getting lost, my cell phone completely losing service, and the threat of rain, we actually had an amazing session at Ryght's family's farm. Here are a few faves:
Tuesday afternoon I shot Melissa & Jonathan's engagement session. We had planned to go to Sarge Frye but there were people playing on the field! (how dare they! j/k!) So we opted to go to the Horseshoe. After i took them the 'scenic route' from the baseball stadium to the Horseshoe, we got started in some really nice light. (yeah…I still don't know my way around Columbia!)
I just love these two! They are so adorable and have such a heart for Christ. Jonathan is going to seminary next year to be a pastor, which I admire so much. We had such a good time together. Their December wedding is sure to be a blast. Here are just a few….
Monday I photographed Kate and Matt's engagement session in Charleston. It was so good catching up with these two! I go way back with Kate and Matt - we were friends at Clemson and Kate and I worked together at GE.
We started out at Magnolia Plantation, where they'll be married in November. I'm so excited!
We had to include Finny in some too!
Then on to downtown Charleston where we walked up and down the streets near the Battery.
It was so hard picking out just a few - we got so many fun shots during our session! I've got 3 more sessions to blog, so I'm trying to be brief!

Saturday I photographed Leslie & Patrick's wedding here in Columbia. Boy was it hot! The ceremony was at First Baptist's Boyce Chapel and the reception was at the Siebels House & Gardens. SUCH a gorgeous wedding!
We started out at Pout, where Leslie got her makeup applied. They did a fantastic job and her makeup was flawless throughout the entire day and night, despite almost 100 degree temps!
After getting her hair done we then on to First Baptist where the bridesmaids arrived to help Leslie slip on her gorgeous dress.
Quick portrait in front of Boyce Chapel
Such a gorgeous bridal party!
Patrick, looking handsome…
I love shooting in First Baptist's Boyce Chapel. The light is great and the bridal party looks fantastic lined up the steps.
Newlyweds!
Reception time! The Siebels House and Gardens provided a gorgeous setting for a white tented reception.
Here are a couple of first dance shots-
A sweet moment later into the reception. Leslie's ADPi sisters are singing a little song to her and her new groom.
And finally a bubble exit!
I hope y'all are having a fun and relaxing time in St. Barths!
