Several friends of mine are pregnant and due in June and they’re all having boys!! These were my first two maternity sessions ever- these gals were my guinea pigs :)
The first session was with Heather and Brian. I’ve known these two since high school! Heather is due in early June.

The second couple is Rachel and Wes. Rachel and I have several connections through different people and we have so much in common! She quit her corporate job around the time I quit mine (both of us to further our own business)…so we held each others hand through that whole process!

Now that it’s official, I can show you Julianne’s bridal portraits! We took these at Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston. I’ll be posting on Julianne & Jon’s wedding sometime soon…..

Katherine and Jay’s engagement session was last week, too! (Busy week!) Katherine and Jay are both Clemson grads, so we could think of no better place to taken them then right there on campus! Here are a few of my favorites:

Last week I photographed Jen & Russ’ engagement portraits at the Bilmore Estate in Asheville. That is where Russ proposed…how romantic!!
Here are a few from the session!
(due to property restrictions, we couldn’t put any with the house in the background on my site).
Russ proposed at that gazebo. There is an amazing view of the house behind me!

Last Thursday, my sister Elizabeth graduated from the prestigious International MBA program at USC. I am so proud of her! She is one of these people who is always raising the bar for herself and her accomplishments. When she applied to this selective program, I think she really doubted that she would even get accepted. Afterall, she’d never even had a business class in her life - coming out of the Engineering program at Clemson. Well not only did she get accepted, she got a huge scholorship!! That was the first WOW for me. The second one came when I heard yesterday her say (so nonchalantly) that she graduated with a 3.95 GPA. Oh my word!! This is the girl that two years ago didn’t even know what a debit/credit was, or an investment derivative. I just know she’s a genious!!! Anyway, as you can tell I’m just a little bit proud
I think everyone at the graduation could tell, too. I had my very obnoxious looking 70-200 lens with me that brought about a lot of odd looks. I got some good shots though!
Here’s Elizabeth when she saw me for the first time (thinking - how embarrassing - my photographer sister!)

Right after getting hooded..

So what is next for my superstar sister? She has an awesome job at GE in Greenville! (Ironic because that is where I started my corporate finance career 6 years ago)
On Sunday, I had scheduled the beautiful Leslie Harmon’s bridal portrait session in Charleston - which was convenient since we spent the night there after Sarah’s wedding Saturday night. Ally and I woke up and went to Seacoast Church, and met a couple of my friends there which was so fun! After church we went to Vickery’s on Shem Creek and sat outside overlooking the boats. It was a beautiful day! Then we went and killed some time in downtown Charleston….then on to Magnolia Plantation for Leslie’s bridal session. We got some AMAZING shots, which of course I can’t show, but here are a few from Sarah’s bridal session - to tide you over till my next post
Back to work!

As I mentioned in my last post, these last few days have been crazy! I’m convinced I have the best job in the world, so even crazy times are really fun!
My weekend started out on Friday, when I drove to Charlotte to pick up the fabulous California photographer, Ally Stepp, from the airport. Ally flew all the way to South Carolina from Cali to shoot with me! What a huge honor! She stuck around till Monday, so she got to shoot with me for a wedding, bridal, and engagement session. More on those later! There are so many posts I need to make, I’m going to spread them out this week - so keep checking back.
Click here for Sarah and Will’s Slideshow!
The first stop was Charleston, SC for Sarah & Will’s very southern plantation wedding. Both the Ceremony and Reception were at Lowndes Grove Plantation. Here are a few of the day:
I just love the ‘getting ready room’ pics - there is always so much anticipation!

Mascara!

The rings

Ally and I went exploring around the house when we first got there, and look what we found! A pink tub. So fun!!

The girls (love the floor!)

The Guys

Sarah’s daddy was just too cute! Here they are walking down the ‘aisle’ from the plantation house to the ceremony tent.

Fun portraits are my favorite!

First Dance

Sarah danced with her dad while Will danced with his mom - very sweet.

These two guys were having a dance off, I think.

And finally, a sparkler exit! They left in a Charleston Black cab, which was really neat!

Sarah & Will, I know y’all are having a blast in Italy right now!!
These past 4 days have been such a whirlwind for me! Since Friday, I’ve been to Charlotte - Charleston - Asheville - back to Charlotte - Clemson - and now FINALLY home (after almost 1,100 miles!). Lots of posts to come on all of the sessions from the past few days, but first here is a quick one from Sarah & Will’s wedding on Saturday in Charleston. More coming soon!

I shot Jennifer’s wedding a few weeks ago in Charleston. Now that its official, I can post her bridal portraits! I’m going to do this as I have time so y’all can see more of my portrait work. Here are just a couple at the Cistern at the College of Charleston. Jennifer has the prettiest smile!
