I didn’t know what to do with myself this weekend! I had Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ALL to myself. No work! I actually felt like a normal person! Friday night Justin and I had some friends over for dinner. Then Saturday while Justin went cycling in the upstate , some friends and I threw our friend Katie - aka KDub- a baby shower for baby # 3 - Baby boy Abel. I just love entertaining at my house and having people over! Sunday was a true sabbath for me - something I rarely get to enjoy - with worship, rest, and relaxation.
Here’s a quick pic from the shower:

This coming weekend is going to be so so busy but also so fun! I’m going down to Charleston for Sarah & Will’s wedding, then Leslie’s bridal portraits on Sunday in Charleston, Jennifer & Russ’s engagements in Asheville early Monday morning and then another engagement session Monday afternoon in Clemson! :) Talk about cramming a bunch of stuff into 3 days! :)
I’m also SO excited because my new friend Ally from California is flying out to second shoot with me for all of this. I hope she learns a thing or two from me and I’m sure I’ll learn from her too! I love making new friends!
Lots of updating to come soon. I hope y’all are having a great week so far!

Here’s more from Ashley & Clint’s wedding this past Saturday. You didn’t think I’d leave you hanging with just three pictures from the wedding in the last post, did you? Here’s the REAL post on the wedding, AND the slideshow!
CLICK HERE for Ashley and Clint’s Slideshow

The Dress

The girls got ready at the Stuart House, which had tons of cool places inside and out. I had so much fun with these girls doing different group shots. They all had awesome diva/supermodel/serious looks so I took full advantage

Colorful flowers.

Another fun group shot in front of the house

We didn’t leave the guys out…we made sure to get some cool ones of them too

It was a little drizzly that afternoon but it cleared up nicely, just in time for us to get the outdoor shots of the girls.

Rings

The ceremony took place at Grace United Methodist. Here are the newlyweds!
Ashley and Clint had an antique car drive them around

The reception was at the Augusta Museum of History.

Look who showed up!! Ashley and Clint both went to Clemson, along with most of Ashley’s family. Needless to say there were a ton of Clemson folks there!

This was hillarious. All of Ashley’s North Augusta friends had an entire choreographed dance to Ice Ice Baby. I hope to see this again at Tracy’s North Augusta wedding next month!

And finally - Tahiti Bound!!!

CLICK HERE for Jennifer & Jason’s slideshow!
Jennifer and Jason’s wedding was such a blast! They got married at the Summerall Chapel at the Citadel and their reception was at the Charleston Aquarium. Both of these locations were beautiful! Here are a few sneak peek images.
Jennifer opening Jason’s gift - a beautiful ring to complement her wedding set. I love the bridesmaid’s faces!

The two adorable ring bearers. They were just too cute!

Down the Aisle…

Because Jason went to the Citadel, they got a sword exit. This was my first sword exit and I absolutely loved it! So cool!

Riding on the Trolley on the way to the Aquarium. After the ceremony Jennifer let loose and put a flower behind her ear, switched into a fun necklace, took the veil off, and put on cowboy boots! She’s such a laid back gal it fit her personality perfectly!

Here’s a couple of Jennifer and Jason having fun dancing at their reception. They had such a good time, which I love to see!

And finally, one last one of Jason getting the garter.

Hope y’all are having fun in St. Lucia! I’ll be posting the slideshow very soon

I’ve got a lot to talk about today!
First….I’ve got to show y’all my new hair. I’ve had pretty much the same hair, plus or minus a few inches, for about ten years. I was in serious need of a change. Its been taking some getting used to, but its growing on me! I also got highlights. My new look thanks to the awesome folks down at J.Thomas Salon. JT and Tosh will hook you up right!
Justin took this in Chili’s with my iPhone..sorry for the bad pic, it was really dark

You can see the highlights better here..

Now on to the second topic! Enough about my new hair!
Friday night I shot Jennifer and Jason’s rehearsal party at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant…Saturday their wedding in Charleston. It was so much fun. And a really good excuse for me and Amanda to hang out with Rheagan, our precious friend who lives down there. We met Friday afternoon for an early dinner at Mustard Seed. Yummy! As a special surprise, my friend Sarah (who also has a new hair do!) drove down from Pawley’s to eat with us. Here are the four of us after dinner Friday night.

Of course I’ll be posting some favorites from the wedding really soon!

Brittany and Caleb are married!
I drove down to Charleston Friday afternoon for their rehearsal dinner. I was greeted warmly by Caleb’s mom at the I’on Creek Club where the Oyster Roast and BBQ took place. Friday was such a fun night getting to know the bridal party and family members. I just knew the wedding was going to be a blast, and it didn’t disappoint! Almost all of the bridal party went to Clemson (along w/ the couple) so we got along just great. At the rehearsal dinner I sat at a table with a group of the sweetest girls (friends of the groom’s sister). They are all still at Clemson, and I must admit sharing stories with them made me a bit envious of those fun college days!!
The ceremony was at First Baptist Charleston, and the reception was at the Hibernian Society building.
Here are a few of my favorites, to tide you over till the slideshow:

The Dress! Brittany and her girls got ready at Meeting Street Inn.

Checking out the back of her hair:

Getting in that beautiful dress:

Clemson Guys!!

the new Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Poston

They decided to have the big exit after the ceremony. Here’s the rose petal exit right before the horse and carriage whisked them away!

A fun shot of Caleb with the bridesmaids. So fun!

Hibernian Society - reception location

First Dance

I love how Caleb’s mom and sister are cheering in the background!

Brittany and her sweet daddy:

Have you ever seen so many people doing the “Soulja Boy” dance all at the same time? Side note- Amanda taught me this dance so if you see us doing it at a wedding I apologize in advance!! Sometimes we just can’t help it

They had Marble Slab!!! Complete with all of the mix-ins and two mixer guys. Yum!!

One final one….during the Clemson Fight Song…C-L-E-M-S-O…..N!! Whoo Hoo!! Love the Clemson weddings!

I just have to make a quick post to say how much I love and appreciate Amanda! A lot of y’all know Amanda as my assistant for weddings but she was one of my best friends long before she was my assistant. Just turns out she has a knack for photography too, which works out well for me!
I have been working on Brittany & Caleb’s slideshow today and I’m amazed at some of the images that came from her camera - and she gets better and better. Here’s a quick pic of us from a trip to Nashville last fall. All the time people at weddings tell us we look like sisters (I guess I’m the older sis since I’m a good half foot taller!). We always say yes, we are sisters; we’re sisters in Christ! I love ya girl!!

(let’s see how often she checks my blog!) hee hee!!
I got back late last night from shooting Brittany & Caleb’s wedding weekend in Charleston. We had SO much fun!! I’ll be posting the blog and slideshow soon but in the meantime, here is one of Brittany’s portraits we did a couple months ago. It was freezing this day so I give her props for being such a trooper!! We did the formal ones at the Battery in Charleston, but Caleb is a surfer so we had to get a few at the beach too.

Hey Y’all! I just wanted to make a quick post to say hello. I’ve been busy as a bee this week, catching up on all sorts of things! This coming weekend kicks off the crazy busy spring/summer wedding season. I promise to post some pics from our trip here on the blog, but that will have to wait for now!
Here’s one quick one from Venice of St. Mark’s.
More later!
