Robin & Nathan’s Wedding: Feb 23, 2008
This wedding was SO much fun! From the minute Amanda and I entered the Museum of Art on Saturday we were just floored. Immediately it looked like we were watching the last minute preparations for a wedding straight out of New York. The flowers, food, decor, everything was stunning and so DIFFERENT than anything I’ve seen (and you know I’ve been to a ton of weddings!!). The best thing is they had sushi! Oh my goodness!! I could just go on and on about this wedding but I know y’all are ready for some pics, so here we go!
Oh, and the slideshow is coming soon too!
Ceremony & Reception Site: Columbia Museum of Art

Another Random Post
Happy Monday! I’ve had a busy but fun few days. Friday and Saturday I shot the rehearsal dinner/wedding for Robin and Nathan (more on this later) and yesterday I drove down to Charleston to shoot Jennifer’s bridal portraits.
Last week I heard the UPS truck pull up and stop in front of my house (those trucks have a very distinct sound, you know!) and as soon as I heard the doorbell ring I ran downstairs in hopeful anticipation of what would await me. You see, I have had my eyes on this certain camera/lens bag for what seems like forever…. The beloved shootsac. Probably ten times I went to the website to get one and got all the way to the checkout page and chickened out. Well, as my luck would have it, they had a huge valentines day sale so I just did it. I got the bag and two covers and I am in love. The best thing about this bag is not how adorable it is (with the removable covers) but how functional and practical it is. Of course I expect nothing less, as its designer is the fabulous photographer Jessica Claire. I took a few pics to show it off to my blog friends.
The ShootSac with the second cover…and a cameo appearance of Izzy.
As I mentioned earlier, I shot Robin and Nathan’s wedding this weekend. Oh.My.Word. This wedding was fantastic. Both the ceremony and reception were at the Columbia Museum of Art, which has a special place in my heart since Justin and I had our wedding reception there. This wedding deserves its own blog post so I will make you wait for that, but just to tide everyone over (Robin..I know you’re checking!)
here’s the final shot of the night:
I’ll be posting soon with more from the wedding…and the slideshow of course! Have a great Monday!
Jessica & Hampton: Engagements
Yesterday I rode down to Pawley’s Island with Jessica and Hampton to take their engagement portraits. These two cuties have the sweetest love story! They met while spending the summer in Pawley’s Island and had a summer romance that turned into so much more. It was so fun getting to know them on the drive down and back. I am so pumped for their wedding in August. Of course they are getting married in Pawley’s too! Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
We started out on this cool road with gorgeous trees.
Next we went to the beach of course!

This beach is where Hampton proposed (awwww!)
Email Maintenance
Today I was doing some maintenance on my email account and realized I did not receive any emails during that time. So if you sent me an email between 11:20am this morning and 1:20pm this afternoon, I did not get it. Could you please re-send it to me? Thanks!!
Happy Valentines Day!
Hey Everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous Valentine’s Day so far. I must admit..this has never been one of my favorite holidays. Justin and I have never really gone all-out for it. This year he’s cooking me dinner! I’m so excited. Last night (while we were watching American Idol) I was trying to guess what he was cooking. After thinking a couple minutes, I said.."I know! A fillet and a baked potato!" He turned away so I couldn’t see his smile…then said "Why do you always do that!!" I just know him so well, plus that is one of my favorite things he cooks!
Speaking of American Idol, does anyone have any early favorites? I absolutely love David Archuleta (the 16 yr old guy w/ the adorable smile) and Brooke White (awesome voice…and cool name!) and Syesha Mercado (girl who lost her voice). I think Syesha is SO gorgous. Oh yeah, I also like the guy from Australia (who I’m sure my sister is going to crush on!) . Who are your early favorites? Don’t be scared to comment!
Random Post.
Right now I’m so pumped because I’m designing my largest album ever! 34 pages-from one of my favorite weddings from last year… SO FUN! I’ve also been contemplating how many more weddings I’m going to take on for 2008. Right now I’ve got 19 and 3 pending contracts. I guess I’m trying to find that perfect balance…plus I’ve got some other things up my sleeve that I’m going to start working on.
Oh yeah, and these ladies below…they are SUCH a blessing to me!! I spent one of the most fun and relaxing weekends in a long time in Asheville. They are truly some good girlfriends….six very beautiful ladies who all have a heart for the Lord (two not shown…)
Thats it for now! Sorry for my randomness! I have been shooting too, but bridal portraits mainly, which I can’t post of course :)
