Jennifer & Andrew: November 23, 2007
Jennifer and Andrew got married Friday at the Corley Mill House in Lexington. It was such an honor being a part of their day….this couple could not be more perfect for each other! It was so cute seeing them light up when they saw each other for the first time. Andrew plays in the Army Band, and Jennifer is now going to join him where he is stationed in Kentucky. The slideshow will be coming soon.
They were blessed with gorgeous weather!

The ceremony was at 5pm, which meant perfect ceremony "almost sunset" lighting.
Andrew was all smiles during the ceremony!

Andrew’s mom and grandmother (his dad officiated). They couldn’t be happier! I love it!

Brandy & Brian’s Engagements
Yesterday I photographed Brandy & Brian’s engagements at Clemson. They are both Clemson grads and we had a fun (but cold!) session. It took an hour for my fingers to thaw out!! Oh, and what a game on Saturday night!! I’m so glad the Tigers pulled it off, but it was a little too close for me!
Here are a few from our session -
We found this awesome yellow tree:
A sweet shot in the Amphitheater:
At the stadium. I still remember all of the words to the Alma Mater! “Where the blue ridge yawns it’s greatness….” I was a tour guide at Clemson and we were required to memorize the entire Alma Mater for our training. My sis and I sang the whole alma mater loudly before the big game last night.
Inside the stadium…
Bayne & Brook’s Engagements
Last Wednesday, I photographed Bayne and Brook’s engagement session in several locations around downtown Columbia. It was kind of weird photographing someone with my name! Bayne and my sister are friends, and she is a bridesmaid in Bayne and Brook’s Savannah wedding next year. I can’t wait to photograph it! I’m sure everything will be absolutely gorgeous. Here are a few sneak peek images…

What is a Columbia engagement session without the red door?
Tracy & Joey’s Engagements
Sunday I made the quick trip down to Augusta to photograph Tracy and Joey’s engagement portraits at the Riverwalk. I’m slowly becoming more familiar with the North Augusta/Augusta area, which is a good thing…I have two weddings there next year. North Augusta is coming up in the world..they now have a Starbucks which Tracy was gracious enough to drive me to after our session. Exciting! I love me some Starbucks!!!
I had such a good time with this adorable couple! Here are a few from our session.
If you’ve noticed that I don’t have a border on these images, its because I just got a Mac and haven’t figured out how to transfer my fonts from my PC (or if that is even possible) Oh, and on that note, for anyone considering making the switch from PC to Mac, I would say do it NOW!!! I love this gorgeous new apple computer and it is so much faster. There is no comparison!!
On to the images! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
It was a beautiful warm fall day-
Sandi & Frank; November 11
Sunday I photographed Sandi and Frank’s wedding in Fort Mill. We started off in Charlotte at the Van Landingham Estate, where the gals got ready.
Gorgeous dress!
These shoes were just too cute.
We did some quick, fun portraits of Sandi before we had to rush to the church:
The ceremony was at Unity Presbyterian in Fort Mill. Here are the newlyweds-
One thing I love is when couples allow me to take some extra time to get some portraits of just the couple. We went to the grounds of the Dairy Barn to get these:
First Dance! The reception was at the Inn at Baxter.
Head table at dinner:
We just had to sneak away from the reception for a few minutes to take advantage of this phone booth across the street!
And finally - in the limo on the way out….
Both Michelle and Sandi’s slideshows coming up tomorrow!
Michelle & Brent; November 10
This weekend was my first weekend ever with two weddings, and I survived! But now I have so much to catch up on. So, these posts are going to be short and sweet because I know some brides are anxiously awaiting their slideshows (I hope to post them tomorrow!)
Saturday I started at Winthrop University to photograph Michelle and Brent’s wedding. They got married at the Little Chapel on campus. Winthrop is where Michelle went to college, and actually works there now too!
It was a gorgeous Fall day at Winthrop:
Here’s Brent - waiting to see Michelle pre-ceremony:

Hopefully I’ll have both slideshows up tomorrow

So….if I’m MIA the next few days you’ll know why
A Day in the Life…
Let me tell you about a new type of session I’ve been doing recently. A Day in the Life session is meant to capture your family doing what you do - just a typical day in your life. No forced poses - no special outfits. Just real, genuine images capturing the essence of your family. The end product is a slideshow showcasing your images, and a custom designed coffee table album for your family to treasure for years to come!
This past Sunday I photographed the Cole family for their day in the life session. From the time I saw little Henry, I just fell in love with him! It was such a joy getting to know them! They have been renovating a house in Heathwood, so a huge part of their life is fixing up the house…which explains a lot of the images you see here. I just love this type of documentary session because twenty years from now, wouldn’t you rather see what your real daily life is like instead of the posed stuff? These sessions start at $300 (including a coffee table album).
