Yesterday I went down to Folly Beach to shoot the Darley’s family portraits. One of my best friends from college, Renee, married into this lovely family in May ‘06. For Mr. and Mrs. Darley’s wedding anniversary the ‘kids’ decided to give them a Brooke Turner portrait session (awesome gift idea, by the way!) :) It was so good to see Renee for a little while and catch up. Here are a few of my faves-
We did a combination of posed and unposed. First, here is one of the traditional posed shots

Now getting a little creative with the angle-

Katherine with Maggie-

We did a few candids….these always turn out to be my favorites!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation, Darley and Zion families!
I’m finally caught up on my blogging! So you probably won’t hear much from me until after Libby and Adam’s wedding this Saturday. I’ve got to finish editing all these awesome sessions I’ve been blogging about!
Oh, and I just realized that today is the one year birthday of my blog. 109 posts later - it is still going strong!

CLICK HERE for Sandy and Stark’s wedding slideshow. The song I selected is one that Sandy chose to have sung in the wedding. Enjoy!
Oh, and click here or scroll down if you missed the earlier post of the sneak peek images from their wedding.
Sunday morning when I woke up and checked the weather, I was so dissappointed to see the forecast. The weatherchannel.com said there was good chance of showers, which didn’t look good for Jennifer and Jason’s scheduled beach engagement session. After church I talked with Jennifer so we could decide what to do.. it was overcast, but not rainy in Charleston, so we decided to move the engagement session up to 4 from 6:30 - since it was cloudy we wouldn’t have to worry about the harsh sunlight (which is normally why I do sessions about an hour and a half before sunset). On the way down, it sprinkled on me a little bit, but as soon as I parked at Folly Beach, the sun came out..so we did end up having to find some shade to avoid the harsh sun on the beach. We got some good stuff though. The weather can be so funny sometimes!
I met Jennifer and Jason when I photographed Jennifer’s cousin’s wedding in April. At that time they had just gotten engaged. They have the cutest engagement story - Jason proposed during the Cooper River Bridge run! How sweet. They are getting married next April at the Cidadel Chapel (Jason’s alma mater), and their reception is at the Charleston Aquarium.
Here are a couple that stuck out as I was uploading the images-

Jason wanted to do a little fishing-
