On Sunday I photographed my good friend Anne’s engagement pictures in various locations in Downtown Columbia. Anne and Bradley are getting married in July, and I’m so happy for her! My sister and I threw a shower for her at my house on Saturday afternoon, and she got lots of fun things! :) Anne lives in Greenville now, so I don’t get to see her as much as I used to - she and I used to eat lunch together a lot and were workout buddies at the FIRM! Here are a few preview shots:

Anne and Bradley have two adorable dogs - Cotton and Blue. I bet you can guess which is which! We had to include their "children" in a few of the shots!

Here’s a solo portrait of Cotton. I just couldn’t resist!
Check out that sunset in the background!
Thanks for being so cooperative, Bradley and Anne! I’m SO excited about your wedding!

Well, I made it back, safe and sound from New York! I think I’m finally thawed out - boy was it cold up there! Here are a couple of highlights:
Columbus Circle, through the windows. Check out the snow!

By far, one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten ….at Serendipity! Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate - YUM!
This one cracked me up! Look closely - the dogs have little shoes on to protect their feet from the snow. So cute!!
I had so much fun! We did a lot of shopping, saw a show (Avenue Q - which is like Seasame Street for adults - I don’t know any other way to explain it!), and most of all did a TON of eating. I am in love with Filene’s Basement! We don’t have fun stores like that here in Columbia. I found an awesome Lily Pulitzer dress that was half off the normal price (still expensive, but not quite as much!). I’m pumped because my sister and I are throwing our friend Anne a wedding shower on Saturday with a Lily theme. And I’m excited that I finally have a Lily dress to wear. It’s also going to be my Easter dress. YAY!
I didn’t have much luck with internet access while I was gone, so now I’m busy playing catch up. It may take me an extra day or so to get back to everybody… . thanks for understanding
Normally I don’t post images from bridal portraits on my blog until after the bride’s wedding, because of the chance of the fiance and others seeing the dress before the big day! But Erin and her mom didn’t have that concern, and wanted me to put some sneak peek images on here. So here we go!
I met Erin, her mom, and maid of honor at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken on Monday evening. These gardens were gorgeous! But I must admit that driving in Aiken is a bit confusing. My friend Heather from Aiken had warned me about this back in college, but I guess I had forgotten! I got so turned around trying to get home Monday night!
I’m excited about Erin’s wedding in May!
Here are just a few from Monday -

Tomorrow I’m off to NYC! On the agenda - going to see a show (Avenue Q), lots of yummy dinners, a food tour in Chelsea, and the thing I’m possibly most excited about - eating dessert at Serendipity! I’ve wanted to go there ever since seeing that movie! I hear their frozen Hot Chocolate is to die for!

Wedding + Reception - Millstone at Adam’s Pond, Columbia
These past few days have been crazy for me, but in a good way! Friday evening, I photographed Melissa and Trey’s engagement portraits (see previous post), then Sunday I photographed Crystal’s wedding, Monday I was down in Aiken for a bridal portrait, and then yesterday another bridal portrait here in Columbia. But it’s been fun!
Crystal and Jason had such a fun wedding. There was so much dancing and laughter, it really warmed my heart. This group of bridesmaids was a lot of fun! Here are a couple of sneak peek pictures from their weddding….
A couple of the bridesmaids helping the bride with her veil.
Beautiful bride!

The beautiful ceremony overlooking the pond.
Keep checking back, the slideshow is coming up!
Melissa and Trey are getting married in May on the beach, and yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph their engagement portraits at the USC Horseshoe. I had never met this couple before, but we hit it right off! Melissa is from Aiken and knew a bunch of girls I went to Clemson with - small world! We had such a good time, doing a mix of posed and unposed shots. Here are a couple of sneak peek images from our session:

What a fun couple!! Yesterday I met Megan and Joseph down in Charleston for their engagement pictures. From the first time I met this couple, I just knew we’d get along so well. First of all, Joseph called me to set up the initial meeting, and any guy that takes that kind of initiative in the wedding planning process is ok by me! And Megan is such a sweetheart too. You can just tell she’s one of these people that just loves life!
Yesterday we started over by battery park, and took some shots by some of the huge homes (you know, those that we all dream about living in one day!), and then we made the short trip to Folly for some beach action. Megan shared some ideas about some fun things to do in NYC . I’m heading up to the Big Apple a week from Thursday to visit some friends. I’m SO excited about it.
Here are a few faves from the session:

I love how I caught a horse and carriage passing by in the background in the one above.
So, what else is going on with me? Well, photography wise, I am photographing Crystal’s wedding this Sunday, I have Erin and Katherine’s bridal portraits next week, and then I’m off to NYC for 5 days. I’m so excited about spending some quality girl time with some of my best friends. You can be sure I’ll be posting lots of pics from that trip!
Thanks so much for reading, and leave me a comment sometime!
